As a regular user of the B4042 I note that diversions will be necessary for vehicles using that section of the road, which crosses the bridge at Cowbridge. The B4042 is a route for high vehicles, which cannot pass under the low bridge at Kingway Nurseries near Corston on the A429. The rail bridge suffers a lot from high-sided vehicles getting stuck underneath, much to the chagrin of other users, and only today are new signs being installed since the existing ones are so battered.  more...

In July 2006 planning permission for a proposed detached dwelling on land adjacent to Shamrock Cottage, Church Road, Woodborough was refused on the grounds that 1) The plethora of roof lights made for an incongruous design, undermining the architectural integrity of the proposed dwelling' and 2) the proposed slab level was too high whereby the dwelling would appear overly prominent in the street scene'; both 1) and 2) would be to the detriment of the character and appearance of Woodborough Conservation Area and were contrary to policies in the Kennet Local Plan 2011 and in the Wiltshire & Swindon Structure Plan 2016.  more...
