Time for an election

Reading the Gazette and Herald this week has left me feeling negative as to the future happiness for people living within the area covered by Wiltshire County Council, for the following reasons: a) The liquidation of Kennet District Council by a unitary authority, which is going to cost taxpayers more money in the early stages and loss of some jobs. Reason: under funding. b) Withdrawal of police presence on the streets by closure of police stations, the reduction of police officers. Reason: under funding. c) Health service cuts, closure of hospitals. The main problem is under funding. d) Schools making cuts to balance their budgets. Reason: under funding. e) Poor equipment support for our British servicemen and women, and denied their own military hospitals.  more...
