In the ladies' race over 5K, Sue MacGregor recorded an impressive 19:45 to finish 16th overall out of the 30 strong field. In the men's race Kevin Sparey, pictured, and Alistair Bartlett enjoyed a close battle over the 8.3K course. Sparey finished seventh in 31 minutes, with ninth placed Bartlett 19 seconds adrift. Making his racing debut for Avon Valley Runner was Carl Davies who was 26th in 35:10 ahead of 29th placed Mike Pace 35:49, 32nd Chris Atkinson 36:11 and 41st Darren Wrintmore 36:58 out of 60 runners.   more...
