Bristol Water put up ticket prices

BRISTOL Water has announced details of trout and pike fishing for 2008 and there will be a 50p increase in the price of all bank and boat fishing.

Season tickets have also been increased and full details can be obtained by phoning Woodford Lodge.

Trout fishing at Chew Valley and the Barrows opens on Thursday March 13 and at Blagdon on Thursday March 20. From Wednesday October 15 winter prices will apply.

Boat fishing finishes at Blagdon on Friday October 31 and at Chew Valley on Sunday November 9. Bank fishing finishes on all lakes on Sunday November 30.

Pike anglers are well catered for too with boat and bank fishing taking place between January 19 and 25; February 2 and 8; October 15 and 20 and 25 and 30; November 4 and 9; and bank fishing only November 14 and 19 and 25 and 30.

Advanced bookings for all boats and pike bank permits is essential.

Booking is by letter only and must be received before January 1 2008.

Include in your application your name, address, a daytime or mobile telephone number and your booking requirements.

All letters received will be entered into a draw for bookings. When all letter bookings have been completed telephone bookings will then be accepted. Full payment or deposits will be required for all advance bookings.
