From the Wiltshire Times, first published Sunday 23rd Dec 2007.

TROWBRIDGE Film Society is to host a second African Film Festival at the Arc Theatre in Trowbridge.

African Horizons, which features films about Africa, runs from February 7-10.

The festival will be launched at 6.30pm on Thursday February 7 at 6.30pm with a hot buffet followed by the film Bamako.

On Friday, the film Daratt (Dry Season) will be screened, followed by Sisters In Law on Saturday and Indigenes (Days of Glory) on the Sunday.

All of the films will be preceded by a short film which will begin at 7.30pm on each of the evenings.

Mark Bishop, chair of Trowbridge Film Society, said: "We were thrilled with the turn out during last year's African Horizons and are hoping that we will build on that this year.

"There are so many fantastic films coming out of Africa and given the large Moroccan community we have here in Trowbridge these seems worthy of celebration."

Admission for Trowbridge Film Society members is free, guests pay £4.60 per evening event.
