CHILDREN were impressed with the antics of Smartie Pants the clown at the Moredon Pre-School Christmas party.
Santa also made an appearance to hand out presents at Moredon Community Centre.
It was the first party to be organised by a newly founded school fundraising committee, and was hailed a resounding success.
Smartie made fantastic creations out of balloons and performed magic tricks.
The fundraising committee held a draw on Monday, which raised £200 for the party.
"We were so short of funds that it wouldn't have happened without the committee," said committee member Sharon Kellard.
"It is so important for the children to get into the spirit of Christmas and join in with everybody.
"We would like to thank all the local businesses who kindly donated a prize for our Christmas raffle - without which our party would not have been possible "All this made it a party to remember."
Mum-of-three Amanda Rendell, from Rodbourne Cheney, said: "The children loved Smartie Pants the clown. A few were dubious to start off with but they enjoyed it.
"The atmosphere was lovely."
About 30 children turned up and the fundraising committee has raised enough to hold an outing next year.
