Shopkeeper assaulted by raiders

Police are hunting two men who assaulted a shopkeeper and stole cash from the till in a supermarket in Swindon on Saturday.

The robbers entered the Co-Op store in Sussex Square at 2.15pm and queued at one of the tills.

One of the robbers then punched a shop assistant at the til and the other offender demanded cash.

Terrified shop assistants handed over the cash and both men ran out of the shop.

The first man is described as white, aged between 20 and 30, between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 9ins tall with a medium build.

The second white male is said to be about 6ft tall.
