Fire crews tackle farmhouse blaze

FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at a farmhouse in Melksham Forest this afternoon.

Crews from Melksham and Trowbridge attended the fire in the ground floor of a two-storey property at just after midday.

The house was filled with smoke and firefighters wearing four breathing apparatus sets used one hose reel jet to bring the flames under control.

The electricity supply was isolated and the cause of the fire is not thought to be suspicious.
