Blackwood back at Christian Malford

From the Wiltshire Times, first published Wednesday 12th Dec 2007.

ROB Blackwood has rejoined First Division Christian Malford after a season with Kingfisher.

Blackwood, who is 30, was registered with Malford for several seasons, but left to join Kingfisher because he wasn't getting a regular game. Now, in view of the upheavals and shortage of players at Christian Malford, he has been persuaded to re-sign. He was going to sign at the start of the season but there was a falling out with former manager Ben Munns.

Malford have also signed Joe Lang, who has just turned 18 and who is the younger brother of Malford full back Bobby Lang. Lang junior is said to be a very good player but has not played since leaving school. The winger could become a hero overnight if he can settle in with the villagers and help them to climb up the table.
