10 years ago: Goals from Peter Thorne, Tony Grant and Kevin Horlock saw Town beat Hull City 3-0 at the County Ground. This victory kept Town at the top of the table.

20 years ago: A first half penalty from Colin Gordon was enough to secure a 1-0 at Wrexham. This was Town's seventh win in eight league matches.

30 years ago: A crowd of 8,342 watched Town win 2-0 away to Sheffield Wednesday. Goals from Will Dixon and Dave Syrett helped the visitors grab all three points.

40 years ago: Town lost out to Coventry City in the FA Cup third round at the County Ground. A goal from Dennis Brown was not enough to prevent a 2-1 defeat.

50 years ago: Bob Edwards and Dave Gibson scored in a 2-1 victory over Torquay United.
