Football in the community

From the Swindon Advertiser, first published Tuesday 10th Jan 2006.

Swindon Town Football in the Community has taken delivery of 600 fluorescent traffic safety bands, thanks to their main sponsor Bryant Homes.

The company has supplied the reflective bands as part of their Safe As Houses' campaign to make children taking part in the football courses highly visible during the darker evenings of the year.

Jon Holloway, football in the community officer, said: "It is a thoughtful gesture from our main sponsor Bryant Homes, to issue us with these bands which will definitely keep our children visible travelling to and from school during the winter months."

For more information on after school clubs or other projects the Community Office offer, including February Half Term course, please contact Jon Holloway or Clive Maguire on 01793 421303.
