RECENTLY Gordon Brown was reported in the newspapers as being concerned about how, if he gets to PM and fights the next election, he could face a backlash from the proposed increases in council tax banding.
Now we now know the proposed rebanding of council tax has been postponed until after the next election (how convenient).
We also read that despite spending almost one billion pounds, the number of children playing truant has increased this year again, and how dental charges for initial inspections are to go up, so for an inspection and one filling the bill will be about £40. How can a pensioner on £80 a week afford that?
Perhaps one of our MPs, instead of toeing the party line, will do their bit for the people who voted for them and those they are deemed to represent.
