THIS year's Thames Team Championships proved a very close encounter on the river between Kelmscot and Rushey.
A total of 22 teams contested this year's event which saw Turner's Tackle and Bait Red and Alcester Sports tying for the top team spot on 102 points.
The Turner's team, though, had an 11lb weight advantage to win, with Drennan Oxford coming third, only one point behind.
Swindon angler Malcolm Ockwell fishing for Elgin helped his team into sixth spot with 92 points after winning the individual crown with 49lb 10oz of bream from the bottom end of Kelmscot, very close to where the Turner 400 match was won.
Second individual spot fell to Martin Kirk (Turners) with 23lb 14oz of chub from Kelmscot and third was Charlbury angler Tony Hickman with 23lb 8oz of chub from Rushy.
Talisman were the second highest Swindon team, in 10th place with 78 points.
n Peatmoor Juniors walked away with the Junior Warwickshire Avon Team Championship, boasting the top nine individuals and winning all five sections at Stratford-upon-Avon.
Luke Wooldridge was the top individual with 7lb, followed by Danielle Freeman, who was runner-up in the match with 3lb 12oz. Nathan Reeves was fourth with a little more than 2lb, Jamie Read was eighth and Ed Bryant was ninth.
