Tot set to take up winning place at nursery

From the archive, first published Saturday 26th Nov 2005.

LITTLE Tia Griffiths is looking forward to learning French and yoga after her mum won free childcare for a year in our Kids Unlimited £10,000 giveaway.

The Advertiser teamed up with the Playhouse Nursery, in Greenbridge Road, to offer the prize.

And yesterday winner Natalie Griffiths took her three-year-old daughter along to the nursery for the first time.

"It is just brilliant," said Miss Griffiths, 35, of Abbey Meads. "I was very impressed.

"It is a really nice nursery and their curriculum is really good they even do French and yoga

"I think Tia is going to be very happy there.

"All the children were very sweet to her and she didn't want to leave at the end of the morning."

And the prize is also good news for Miss Griffiths, who had been hoping to go back to work since she moved from Surrey to Swindon in August with Tia and her eight-year-old sister K-Ci.

"This has been like a godsend," she said. "It is something I don't have to think about now when I look for a job. It is going to help me a lot."

After her first visit to the Playhouse during an open day Tia is set to start next week.

Joint manager Louise Foogo said: "We were delighted to meet Tia and look forward to welcoming her in the pre-school room."
