Shoppers' cash gifts

From the archive, first published Saturday 26th Nov 2005.

A GORSE Hill charity shop has donated all its week's takings to the Pakistan earthquake appeal. Storehouse Christian Fellowship runs the shop in Cricklade Road.

Spokesman Dick Denyer said he wishes to thank all the customers who gave very generously.

"One gentleman bought an item costing £4 but handed over £60," he said.

"We raised £500 in total to help the survivors of the earthquake."

The cash will go to an appeal co-ordinated by the Disasters Emergency Committee.
