Trigger happy

WAS the unarmed MP who recently hurled his opinion at Tony Blair with the words "police state" so very wide of the mark?

I do not think so.

We are accustomed to images of the police in various countries bearing side arms.

In the UK however many police now patrol with fingers on the trigger of their weapons.

Why has this deplorable transformation of the British bobby become necessary?

Our supine political masters have allowed entry to the UK of criminal elements from the four corners of the globe whose activities are destroying the quality of life in so many of our towns and cities.
