NORTH Wiltshire's MP James Gray was correct regarding his comments on the Strategic Health Authority (SA, Nov 9).
Duplicate all that bureaucracy with another tier in the shape of Primary Care Trusts and there is a haemorrhaging of National Health funds. In Swindon PCT alone there are 33 executive managers and over 700 staff.
No wonder hospitals and maternity units have to be closed to fund this bureaucratic gravy train.
