Republic call

JUST a correction to John Franklin's letter about New political party needed, where he remarks about it being time the Republicans showed themselves over the political parapet.

I am sure most people think the Republic means a political party like the Republicans in the USA.

Not so. The Republic is a movement to rid ourselves of three centuries of our very flawed political system of government ­ the Constitutional Monarchy and turning it into a modern Democratic Republic.
