Employees slighted

From the archive, first published Thursday 27th Oct 2005.

As an ex-employee of Sandridge Tower Nursing Home, I was horrified to see your report last week. Having worked at this home for four years, I feel that the report gave quite the wrong impression of Mrs R Woodhouse and all employees, past and present.

Here are a few points:

1. The patients that come to stay are not prisoners.

2. All patients have three good meals a day, which are freshly cooked on the premises.

3. If patients cannot feed themselves, they are fed by staff.

What hospital in UK can say this? I feel that this report has slighted all members of staff past and present.
