Gas blast record

The improving AFC Gas team enjoyed a good 3-1 win in Division One at County Ground, who dropped their first points of the season. Lee Beavis netted for the losers.

Dave Godley, Paul Hunt, Justin Miller and two from Paul Cooper gave Greyhound a 5-1 success at the Roaring Donkey.

Green Baize beat Juventus 3-1 thanks to hits from Terry Moore, Neil Quinn and Dave Levett.

Premier Watercoolers had a comfortable 7-1 home success against SKS Blyskawica with Mark Simpkins (3), Steve Winchcombe (2), Stuart Hemsley and Steve Yeardley on target as was Jeremy Hope for Blyskawica.

Moonrakers have resigned from the league.

Division 2

Wayne Presley scored for CJ Marlborough in their 1-1 home draw against leaders Haydon Wick WMC.

Wroughton WMC won 8-2 at Coleshill, with Adam Legg grabbing both goals for Coleshill.

Pewsey Saints and Thamesdown Nalgo shared six goals in a 3-3 draw. Toby Clarke, Ryan Hillier and Tony Hurkett were on the mark for the Saints.

Another fixture to end up a draw was Swindon West Indians and npower with Vince Elliott and Chris Allen's goals cancelling out a double for Ash Andrews for npower to finish 2-2.

Division 3

Windmill avenged a 3-2 home defeat from a couple of weeks ago with a crushing 8-1 success at Fox & Hounds, pushing them up into third spot.

Hat-tricks for Steve Shaw and Mark Smith and one apiece for Ross Kelly and Paul Wiseman ensured a comfortable win with the Fox reply coming from a Ben Hurwood own goal.

Neil Bittern netted for Campbell James in their 2-1 loss at home to Jovial Monk.

Stan Gopal, Mark Wells and Nigel Franklin were among the goals as South Marston enjoyed their first win of the season 4-2 at Sony Owl Madrid. Gary Seward and Andy Marriott replied for Madrid.

Division 4

No change at the top with KMLC and RJK Ferndale both winning again.

KMLC won 4-1 at Nationwide with Daryl Boulter (2), Ash Piotrowski and Pete Worthington on target.

Ferndale defeated Southbrook Inn 8-3 courtesy of doubles from Rich Kolasinski, Jon Dixon, Badsha Miah and Neil Matthews.

Terry Adams put Duckhams 1-0 up at Mallard only for Carl Dawson to equalise late on for the home team.

Intel won 3-0 at Dynamo Ashton with efforts from Tom Collister, Ross Taylor and Ian Bailey.

Division 5

A Craig Alexander double gave Lava Lounge an excellent 2-1 win at Castrol whose scorer was Paul Hibberd. This was despite the normally reliable penalty taker for Lava Lounge keeper Steve Willis missing one on this occaision.

They are still joint leaders with Nine Elms who walloped Lamb Marlborough 10-2. On the scoresheet were Tony Fry, Steve and James Townsend, Ben Hinson (2), Mike Jackson (2) and Warren Fuller with a hat-trick.

Aided by the appearance of landlord and former Town player Phil King, Dolphin romped to a 6-1 win at Pennoes. On target was James Walton, Phil Greenwood, Mike Young and Alex Whitehall with a brace. Jason Cobb netted the Pennoes consolation.

Doubles for Mark Giles, Scott Glover, Darren Wallace and a hat-trick for Tim Goddard gave Red Lion Cricklade a 9-4 win at Deers Leap. The Leap's replies came from Martyn Littlechilds, Kelvin Young, Shane Hibbert and John Cole.

Division 6

Leaders Intermach Engineering beat bottom club Moredon Cheney 4-1 to stay undefeated thanks to Tony Maine, Chris Adams, Dayle Andrews and Craig Bolton hitting the spot and Rob Dodson replying for Moredon.

Behind them Queenstown were 2-0 up at GTS through goals from Adam Whitefield and Mike Bint before their opponents hit back through Chris Skillern and Ricky Kirby. Queenstown also had a player sent off.

Dennis Removals drew 1-1 at AFC Royston for whom Nick Pagett netted in a game noted for a glaring miss by Royston's Mike Fawcett.

Westlink beat White Hart Stratton 3-0 through Matt Bissett, Andy Chamberlain and Les Potter.

Pertemps did well to win 4-2 at Blueprint through a Jon Lane diving header, Allan Hawthorne, Dan Atkin and a Mark Jones volley while Neil Wooding and Declan Taylor netted for Blueprint.

Division 7

A Matt Bennett five-timer plus goals for Rob Harris and Antonio Mazzotta gave leaders Woodlands Edge a 7-2 win at Smart Movers, Duncan Baylis and Steve Jackson replied for the Movers.

The second and third placed clubs, who meet next week, APS Mortgages and Green Baize United, both hit four goals to record their latest wins.

APS beat Sandgate 4-1 which came from a Jamie Scanlon hat- trick and Dave Rendell.

Tom Valentine, Nigel Packer, Leigh Reeves and Pat Slattery were all on the mark for the Baize in their 4-0 success at Greenbridge MOT.

Craig Hogg and James Pitt bagged the Eldene Social Club goals in their 2-1 win at Brewers Arms for whom Gary Mitchard netted.

Paul Morton grabbed the Swindon City winner as they won 1-0 at Coleview

Division 8

Pinehurst Community won 4-3 at Bear Marlborough which came from a Liam Preedy double, Aaron Welland and a Matt Greenland free kick.

Thamesdown AFC smashed seven past West Swindon Wanderers without reply thanks to a Przemystaw Skowron four- timer, Joe Fox, Mike Gregory and Gary Street.

Cats Solutions had a good 4-2 win at Stratton United with Matt Bown, Ryan Keech, Nathan Shepherd doing the business plus an own goal. Gavin Blundell and Adam Rudman replied for Stratton.

Bottom team Red Lion Wootton Bassett held Dorcan Old Boys to an excellent 3-3 draw with Ady Aldous (2) and Shaun McCombie doing the business and Dave Devine, James Sutton and Graeme Little doing likewise for Dorcan.

There was a 13-goal thriller at Mannington where Milton Road WMC lost 7-6 at home to Greenmeadow. Johnny Coole with a hat-trick, Pete Temple, Gary Smith, Sam Jenkins and Jon Saunders just saw Greenmeadow home.

Curriers Arms Wootton Bassett beat Home Zone 8-2 with Steve Townsend grabbing a four-timer plus Andy Gibson and Tom Jefferies with a double each, Adam Storer grabbed the Home Zone goals.
