100 per cent Reds stay top

In the Under 12 Green Division of the Wilts County Womens League this week Swindon Town Reds maintained their 100 per cent record and their three-point lead with a 10-1 victory over Highworth Juniors B.

The other two matches played resulted in two close contests with Bradford edging out Swindon Badgers 3-2 and FC Chippenham recording an away win at Wootton Bassett, 2-1.

In the Red Division, the joint leaders Swindon Badgers White and Derry Hill United both scored nine goals and to remain locked together on 13 points. Badgers beat newcomers Mere Town 9-0 on Saturday.

On Sunday, Derry Hill travelled to Radstock to play Westfield and won 9-2.

Among the scorers for Derry Hill was Alison Witts with four.

The other two matches were very close with Cricklade earning a creditable 2-2 draw with Swindon Town Nosebees and Highworth Juniors A winning a close match with Swindon Spitfires B 3-2.
