CHIPPENHAM NEWS: STUDENTS dressed up in fancy costumes to inspire members of the public to draw.

Wiltshire College students and staff wore costumes from Chippenham Museum as part of The Big Draw, celebrated all over the country this month.

The event was organised by Jean Harvest, education officer for Chippenham Museum and Heritage Centre.

She took lots of costumes to Emery Gate Shopping Centre as inspiration on Wednesday afternoon and members of the public stopped to have a go at drawing them.

More than 90 pictures were drawn and many of these have been put up on display on the front of an empty shop in the centre.

The Big Draw is part of the Campaign For Drawing and all over the country drawing events are being held in libraries, museums, shopping centres and country houses.
