Kleeneze's catalogue of success

From the archive, first published Friday 14th Oct 2005.

TWO firms have joined up to clean up on the household goods front.

Kleeneze, which has a network of distributors selling its household and health and beauty products across the UK, has become one of Swindon's best-known firms.

It will be working with Stibo Catalog, which has a base on the Kembrey Park industrial estate.

Kleeneze was founded in 1923 and expanded rapidly in the 1980s. It sells through catalogues, flyers and online. It now has a turnover of more than £100m a year.

Stibo will be in charge of producing pages for its catalogues through its Step software. Kleeneze will still be in charge of the content.

Kleeneze's head of marketing Clare Dunbar said: "I have been impressed with everything I have seen of Stibo Catalog so far.

"They offer the right mix of software and services for our business, and their experience, expertise and flexibility of solution is unmatched in our market.

"I am confident we made the right decision and Stibo Catalog and STEP will help us continue to grow our business.'"

Stibo's chief executive Dan Korsgaard said: "Kleeneze is one of the premier direct mail brands in the UK, and it says a lot about the strength of our Step solution when a market leader like Kleeneze chooses it to manage its content.

"For Stibo Catalog, the work is now just beginning as we justify the trust that Kleeneze has put into our business. Only then will we view the partnership as being mutually beneficial."
