Mobile centre can help solve those recruitment problems

From the Swindon Advertiser, first published Friday 9th Jan 2004.

Businesses in Swindon were yesterday treated to a demonstration of cutting edge staff recruitment methods when a brand new, state of the art, mobile recruitment centre from local recruitment agency Blue Arrow pulled up in the town.

The purpose-built facility, from the specialist recruitment company whose Swindon branch is in Commercial Road, was based at Canal Walk in the town centre for the day.

The vehicle, which is designed to help businesses address skills shortages and bring news of the latest employment opportunities to jobseekers, comprises bespoke meeting rooms for consultants to screen candidates.

"The new vehicle is really a totally flexible rapid response unit for business," explained branch manager Gerry Veitch.

"Particularly with rises in employment being reported for manufacturing, construction and service sectors, this visit is designed to provide assurances to local employers that alternative recruitment options can help them manage sudden increases in workload."
