Supermarket staff praised

From the Swindon Advertiser, first published Friday 9th Jan 2004.

Staff and customers at Budgens supermarket, Bradford on Avon were part of a nationwide campaign which raised £100,000 for children's charity CLIC last year.

Since fundraising began in February 2003 Budgens has organised a variety of events to raise the money.

CLIC chief executive David Ellis said: "It is important to remember that support from organisations like Budgens and its staff is essential as CLIC gets no government funding at all and every penny we raise has to come from the generosity of the public."
