From the Swindon Advertiser, first published Friday 30th Jan 2004.
Walcot's Co-op store has been re-opened following refurbishments.
The new-look Co-op Late Shop, in Sussex Square, sells a wide range of fresh foods, including fruit and vegetables.
It offers a range of chilled ready meals and a growing organic food range.
There is also a fresh meat department and fresh bread baked each day.
Store manager Louise Bampton said: "I'm pleased to welcome new and old customers to the Sussex Square store.
"I am absolutely delighted with our spacious, modern surroundings which we trust will make shopping even better."
The store's opening hours are 8am to 8pm from Monday to Saturday and 9am to 4pm on Sunday.
Owner Oxford, Swindon and Gloucester Co-op re-opened the store last Thursday.
And staff said trade in the opening week was significantly up on figures before the refurbishment.
The store has begun trading on Sundays for the first time and this is also expected to boost profits.
