Supermarket for sale

A former Trowbridge supermarket is for sale. The old Normans site, on the corner of Canal Road, is being sold through commercial property agent Brian Fitchett.
He said: "It has been empty for about two years. Consent was granted in 1998 for demolition of the old supermarket and approval given for bulk retail in a new building but this was never implemented.
"We are marketing the the one and three-quarter acre site as an opportunity for redevelopment for retail, leisure or business use."
