Training experts arrive in Salisbury

From the Swindon Advertiser, first published Friday 4th Jul 2003.

A ONE million euro contract with Nissan Europe has coincided with a move to Salisbury for training services company TTS Europe Ltd.

The company's new offices, in Castle Road, were opened by Salisbury's Mayor Bobbie Chettleburgh at a ceremony last week attended by about 60 guests.

Mrs Chettleburgh unveiled the TTS Europe sign as guests toasted the company and let off party poppers.

She then joined managing director Duncan Souster to try her hand at Scalextric.

The 8,000-square foot premises are next to Salisbury Rugby Club and will provide an office and training centre.

The contract with Nissan Europe is to provide the writing and delivery of its technical training for new Nissan vehicles, including the soon-to-be-released 350Z.

In addition to automotive training, TTS Europe is a training consultancy with a niche in the learning technologies sector.

"I am very excited about the move," said Mr Souster.

"Taking these offices has made us feel more of a part of the community. They have just been refurbished to a very high standard and make for a wonderful working environment.

"As part of the floor space will be given over to automotive training and another part reserved for the Nissan Racing team, there will be a great deal of interesting comings and goings too.

"The contract is a great boost to the plans of TTS Europe Ltd and means we have been able to recruit some new people into the business via local agencies. In addition, TTS Europe has been providing Nissan with consultancy on learning management systems and e-learning development, which are two of our core specialist areas."
