WILTSHIRE'S food and hospitality businesses can learn new skills and improve their commercial potential at a one-off trade fair in Salisbury later this month.
Taking place at the Guildhall in Salisbury on July 15, from 10am to 6pm, the Salisbury Food and Hospitality Fair will be hosted by Forkingout Ltd, in conjunction with the Tourism Skills Network Wiltshire, Wiltshire Food Links and South West Food and Drink Network.
The aim of the event is to increase economic activity in the sector, to showcase quality local producers and their products, promote career prospects within the industry and raise the profile of the sector throughout the county.
A range of free seminars will run throughout the day.
The Tourism Skills Network Wiltshire, Business Link, Jobcentre Plus, Connexions, the Learning & Skills Council and colleges will be on hand to provide delegates with advice on training, careers, attracting new blood into the industry and staff retention.
Julia Drummond, from Tourism Skills Network Wiltshire, said: "Today, success in the food and hospitality industry requires knowledge of the industry that is second to none.
"With seminars, workshops and demonstrations relevant to their needs, and the opportunity to network with others in the industry, this fair will provide the perfect opportunity for organisations to improve their business competitiveness."
For further information, or to book places on any of the seminars, contact Forkingout on 01980 862948.
