RAZZELL VERDICT: `We have not given up search for body'

DETECTIVE Chief Inspector Paul Granger, the man who led the inquiry into the death of Linda Razzell, has still not given up hope of finding her body.

Despite her estranged husband Glyn being convicted of her murder he has not told police where he disposed of the body.

During the trial the jury at Bristol Crown Court heard how Razzell, a 44-year-old former Zurich Financial Services investments manager, had joked to friends about how quicksand near the Cotswold Water Park would be a good place to dispose of a body. He also remarked on whether police had been to Sapperton Tunnel to look for a body.

Det Chief Insp Granger said: "Intensive searches to date using under water search teams have been unsuccessful in locating her body. Our hope is that one day we will be able to locate Linda so that the family can lay her to rest."

He said Operation Docker remained open insofar as officers would act on information that could help them find the body of the missing mother of four.

Tomorrow Det Chief Insp Granger will take up a new post as Swindon's crime manager, based at Swindon Police Station.
