Two appointments in law firm's commercial team

CHAMBER NEWS: JONATHAN Poole from Bath has been appointed a partner in the company's commercial team at Things Townsend solicitors.

He will specialise in advising public and private companies as well as individuals and partnerships on mergers and acquisitions, group re-organisations, joint ventures, management buy-outs and general commercial contracts.

Before joining Thring Townsend, which has offices in Bath, Swindon and Newbury, Mr Poole spent three years as a corporate finance lawyer in Bristol and before that was at Freshfields in London and Hong Kong where he gained international and public company experience.

Jonathan Gist, who lives in Rode, near Trowbridge, has been appointed commercial litigation solicitor at Thring Townsend's Bath office where he will specialise in commercial contract disputes, competition law and claims against professional advisers.
